People are Morons

Seems a group of parents are up in arms over a teacher showing clips of the opera "Faust" to their children.

It seems the uber-classic story is offensive because it depicts the story of Doctor Faustus, a man who sells his soul to the devil for youth and knowledge. If these parents bothered to actually see what the opera was about, they'd find that in the end, Faust 'sees the light,' regrets his decision and repents.

Say the word 'Satan' (in this case Mephistopheles) and fundies freak out. Just the mention of the word, regardless of context, is an attempt to turn children into Evil devil children. Obviously. People have been reading Faustian legends for 600 years. It didn't corrupt them. Idiots.
