Don't Trust the Government

A Harvard Study (caution, pdf) finds that more people, age 18-24, trust the United Nations (38%) than trust either Congress (29%) or the President (31%). The Federal government only gets 28% support. The Judiciary manages exactly 50%. Of all the institutions included in the poll, the U.S. Military topped the list at 55%.

The poll's main finding was that this midterm election will likely see the highest turnout among young voters in 20 years.

Democrats are favored by young voters who told the pollsters that 'they will definitely vote' on Nov. 7th, 52% wanted a Democratic congress while only 29% wanted Republicans to remain in control. Bush's approval rating among the age group is only 32%.
