Kurt Vonnegut's "Stardust Memory"

Kurt Vonnegut gave a lecture at THAT University. ::spit:: Aside from the location, the speech was brilliant. An organization called the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center has the rundown up on their website. Excerpts:

"I just want to say that George W. Bush is the syphilis president."

"We have people in this country who are richer than whole countries. They run everything."

"I'm trying to write a novel about the end of the world. But the world is really ending! It's becoming more and more uninhabitable because of our addiction to oil."

Go read the rest. His premise is that the United States is a diseased nation. I wish I had been there to hear his speak.
