New House Majority Leader

Rep. John Boehner of Ohio is the newly elected House Majority Leader, replacing Tom Delay, currently under indictment in Texas for breaking campaign finance laws.

Assessment: Same Shit, different face.

This is, of course, the point. The Republicans didn't really want to change how they were doing things, it was working well for them but Tom Delay was becoming a liability. They found a new face. We'll see how this plays with people other than 'beltway insiders.'
